Project Gallery
This is our collection of photographed projects, from craft items to furniture and everything in between. Some have a story or process behind them which can be found in our Flickr collection.
Cherry Fireplace Mantel
Full surround mantel based on drawings from a client. Columns received flutes. The top slab was a massive board! Full details are here.
Cabin Window
A client requested a replacement window for his mining camp cabin. I used 1/4″ glass and solid red oak with bridal joints. The details of the project here.
Spice Cabinet
The client requested a spice cabinet made from highly figured wood using a provided stained glass panel. You can view the details of the project.
Storm Door Inserts
A job that is not an heirloom project, but still very challenging. See the details of the build.
Exterior Door
A laminate inner-frame, solid red oak, hardwood panel exterior door. Read more about the build.
Credenza Base Cabinet
Red oak hardwood and plywood, single drawer, 3-door pseudo-replica project
Morris Chair Ottoman
Soft Maple Box
Morris Chair
Quarter-sawn white oak with leather cushions
Retirement Display Case
A retirement display case I made for myself. It’s figured maple, with padauk splines. I used the flag I received the day I was cleared from the military. It is about the lowest quality material possible and couldn’t be folded perfectly. I wanted something different than the usual cases available that normally place the flag in a separate/isolated case.
Cherry Night Stand
Scrolled Logo
1/2″ Alaskan Birch on 3/4″ Walnut. The overall dimensions are 26.5″ square and the inner circle logo is 18″ in diameter.
End Grain Cutting Boards
Hard maple and purpleheart
Kitchen Butcher Block Cart
End-grain hard maple top and ash frame
Figured Maple Box with Walnut
I enjoyed making this, especially when the legs fit nice and tight. t is finished with dye, shellac and water-based seal.
Wine Rack
This is a prototype build driven by the need to come up with a birthday gift quickly and possibly have something for production later. The wife and I kicked around the design for an evening and then a friend and I built it the next day. I used birch and stained it med-dark since Greene and Greene style Arts&Crafts generally calls for it.
Bow Rack
We needed to do something to get these out of the way and/or hiding. Couple of maple boards with walnut inlay and laminates made it easy.
