Who We Are
Many years ago, what started out as a developing interest and hobby in a one-car garage in a home on a military base turned out to be a business in the hills of Fairbanks, Alaska. Troy and Christen Bouffard relocated to Alaska in Apr ’04 as a result of a military assignment and decided to call Alaska home for good. Christen quickly found employment in the local area and Troy prepared for combat tours with Ft. Wainwright’s Stryker Brigade. In between back-to-back combat tours, Troy and Christen, with the encouragement of friends and family, decided to take the plunge and prepare to start a small business. The plan was to have as much completed as possible financially, administratively, and operationally by Troy’s military retirement date. We have been very fortunate to develop many professional contacts and local friends who have welcomed us into the community as part of the business group.
Christen is the creative force and primary manager behind the business. She, and Troy, have extensive marketing experience and schooling. Her award-winning design skills, as well as website development and programming, have provided a solid identity and home for the business. The organization and financial aspects are under her supervision and approval, all aspects that, if missing or lacking, would considerably degrade business development and opportunities.
Troy is the primary craftsman behind the business. Recently retired from the military, he strives to learn the latest techniques as well as traditional work methods in the shop. For 5 years, he spent much time learning and setting up a efficient and dependable shop, one unlike any in the interior of Alaska, which can been seen here. Troy is also prepared and experienced to handle any custom orders that require unique designs and concepts which will be developed and refined using some of the latest 3-D software techniques.
We look forward to providing services and products within our community, as well as being part of the professional group of business people in the city and state. Our goals is to provide the highest level workmanship to those people that really appreciate quality and have a decent idea of what they want, while working together to design the perfect piece for your needs.
